Jere W. Thompson, Jr. Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer Mr. Thompson is Co-Founder and CEO of Ambit Energy. In 1992, Mr. Thompson was at the forefront of the telecommunications industry as it deregulated. He founded CapRock Fiber Networks to build fiber and broadband networks across Texas. As CEO, Mr. Thompson, guided CapRock into new markets, took the company public and managed its growth from infancy to 1,300 employees and $300 million in annual revenues. Mr. Thompson previously worked at Trammell Crow Company and Goldman, Sachs & Co. Mr. Thompson received an AB in Economics at Stanford University and a MBA from the University of Texas in Austin. He sits on the boards of two schools, two hospital foundations and several civic organizations. He was Chairman and a member of the Board of the North Texas Tollway Authority for twelve years. Chris Chambless Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer Mr. Chambless is Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer of Ambit Energy. As an early member of the management team at Excel Communications, he was responsible for all aspects of the company's marketing and communications organization. Most recently the Vice President, Marketing at VarTec Telecom, he was responsible for all aspects of the company's marketing strategy including brand development, channel integration strategy, sales management and new product development. Mr. Chambless also held executive positions at Euphony Communications and up2 Technologies, Inc. Mr. Chambless received his BA in English from the University of Texas, Tyler. Mr. Chambless is an active board member of the Economic Development Corporation in his community. Jim Timmer Chief Financial Officer Mr. Timmer is a seasoned executive with more than two decades of experience in senior finance and operational roles. Mr. Timmer has served as Chief Financial Officer of airBand Communications, Birch Telecom and Excel Communications, a $1.6 billion entity. While at Excel, Mr. Timmer also served as Interim Chief Operating Officer and was instrumental in formulating direct-sale compensation plans. Prior to joining Excel, Mr. Timmer served as Vice President of Finance at Verizon, a $26 billion entity, where he held various leadership roles over a 20-year period. Mr. Timmer received his B.A. in Accounting from Loras College and his MBA from Drake University. John Burke Chief Information Officer Mr. Burke is the Chief Information Officer of Ambit Energy, Inc. He has over 15 years of leadership and consulting experience working in the electric utilities, telecommunications, financial services, venture capital and software development industries. He has successfully positioned technical organizations for high demand support roles while driving revenue initiatives and reducing operating costs. Mr. Burke has held several leadership roles, including the COO of a billing application service provider, the CIO of a Verizon call center, and the VP of Development for a retail financial transaction service provider. He has consulted to both electric co-ops and electric retail providers on strategic IT initiatives and has extensive experience building, integrating, and managing mission critical back-office billing and provisioning systems. Mr. Burke earned an MBA in Information Systems from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Rutgers University, where he graduated with Highest Honors. He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and has served as a representative on The University of Texas at Austin Graduate School's Information Management Steering Committee. Jim McFelea Senior Vice President, Operations Mr. McFelea has more than two decades of experience in senior operational roles. Mr. McFelea most recently served as VP of Service Delivery for XO Communications, a $1.4 billion telecommunications company, managing a 600-person operations organization. He previously held the position of VP of Service Delivery and Customer Service at Birch Telecom. While at Excel Communications, a $1.6 billion entity, Mr. McFelea served as Senior VP of Customer Service and was instrumental in reorganizing its call center organization to focus on improving customer satisfaction. Prior to joining Excel, Mr. McFelea held various positions at AT&T over a 30-year period. Mr. McFelea received his B.S. degree in business degree from Indiana University Southeast.

FORMER TXU VICE CHAIRMAN, PRESIDENT AND COO INVESTS IN ELECTRIC PROVIDER

Ambit Energy, L.P., announced today that former Vice Chairman, President and COO of TXU, David W. Biegler, has joined the company as an investor and advisor to the executive management team.
A 40-year veteran of the energy industry, Mr. Biegler currently serves as Chairman of Estrella Energy, L.P., a natural gas transportation and processing firm. He retired from TXU as Vice Chairman in 2001.
"This is the first time I have invested in a Texas-based electric retail provider. I like Ambit’s experienced management team, its home-grown systems, its expansion into New York and Illinois, and its remarkable business model. The company has had phenomenal growth and has demonstrated its ability to manage that growth very well. Mr. Biegler joined TXU in 1997 as its President and Chief Operating Officer. He became Vice Chairman of TXU in May 2000. He previously served as Chairman, President and CEO of ENSERCH, the parent of Lone Star Gas Company. He joined ENSERCH in 1966 where he served in a variety of management and executive positions prior to becoming Chairman.
Mr. Biegler has been involved in community and charitable activities throughout his career. He has served as President, Circle Ten Council, of the Boy Scouts of America. He has previously chaired the Greater Dallas Chamber of Commerce, the Dallas Citizens Council, United Way of Metropolitan Dallas and Education is Freedom. He holds a B.S. in Physics from St. Mary's University in San Antonio and completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard University. Mr. Biegler also serves as a board member of Southwest Airlines Company, Trinity Industries, Inc. and Dynegy, Incorporated.
